The Engineering Undergraduate Society of McGill University, Inc. (EUS) is a non-profit corporation which responds to the needs of undergraduate engineering students at McGill. We have over 150 volunteers spread over 45 committees which serve students in a variety of ways. Our mission is not only to ensure that the engineering undergraduate community is adequately represented to faculty, other student associations and to external organizations; but also that each and every engineering undergraduate student feels part of a community and is proud of their future profession.

The EUS is a member of both the Quebec Confederation for Engineering Student Outreach and the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students . Internally, we have six departmental associations each representing a field of study within engineering with whom we work with to ensure that our student community always remains strong. They are:

The Civil Engineering Undergraduate Society (CEUS)
The Canadian Society of Chemical Engineering McGill Chapter (CSChE)
The CO-OP Mining Engineering Undergraduate Society (CMEUS)
The Materials Engineering Undergraduate Society (MEUS)
The Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering Student Society (ExCSESS)

The EUS runs a plethora of events including National Engineering Week, Open Air Pub, O-Week (frosh), E-Week, the McGill Engineering Competition, TechFair, Plumber’s Ball, Blues Pubs, PubNites, Engineering Excursions, Iron Ring Wine and Cheese, EUS Sports, as well as many others .

The EUS also runs five services: Frostbite, our ice-cream store, Copi-EUS, our copy center, the General Store, our common room and our locker rental service.

We also organize the McGill delegation to events like Engineering Games, the Canadian Engineering Competition, the Quebec Engineering Competition and the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students conference.

We also publish five publications and run many other information technology centered committees. Our publications are: the Plumber’s Faucet newspaper, the Pipeline (e-mailed) newsletter, Technophilic magazine, our yearbook and our handbook. We also run the engineering network of electronic billboards.

We also have other committees which respond to particular needs within our community including Promoting Opportunities for Women in Engineering and Caring About Resources in Engineering.
