While MEC, QEC, and CEC are organized by different bodies, they are each a feed into the next level. Starting at the university level, students compete in engineering tasks at McGill each year. The winners of the events move on to the Québec level, and after that the Canadian level. Teams can compete in a wide variety of tasks from construction of an actual item to more immaterial tasks like complete project proposals.
